LED lighting maximizes fish production

According to the United Nations, nearly 90% of the world’s marine fish resources have been fully exploited, over-exploited or depleted. Smart policies are needed to protect fish resources and conduct responsible fish farming.
Said that it has provided Kingfisher and its Philips aquaculture photoperiod LED lighting products to optimize fish growth and feed conversion in the world's first sustainable terrestrial yellowtail aquaculture facility. These lights provide effective and energy-saving lighting for large storage tanks and enable Kingfish's output to be 30% higher than the designed output. The facility is equipped with a proprietary circulating aquaculture system (RAS) and uses seawater and 100% renewable energy to provide healthy, antibiotic-free delicacies: Dutch Yellow fish or Kingfisher.
The effect of light on fish is complex, and multiple factors need to be considered: intensity and distribution, the quality of light expressed in spectral components, and daily and seasonal photoperiods.
